Topic: “Optimizing policies and neutralizing the negative effects of Covid – 19”
Funded by: Active Citizen Fund – Small Initiatives Scheme: Improved democratic culture and civic awareness.
Duration: 2021

Project “Optimization of policies and neutralization of the negative effects of Covid – 19”  was implemented with financial support provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Financial Mechanism. The need for the project arose from the lack of a clear concept for the effective implementation of policies to control and mitigate the negative effects of COVID-19, which would be based on empirically established and verified knowledge of citizens’ problems. During the project, sociological research was conducted to establish the experience of citizens, risks, needs, evaluation of measures and policies in the pandemic. At the end of the project, we presented the data from the analyzes and sent the reports to the interested parties, including and public institutions in order to establish a dialogue between citizens and institutions, through research and analysis, which we see as a step towards improving democratic culture, overcoming the crisis of representation. With the results generated by the project, the institutions have the necessary conditions to optimize and create policies according to the needs of the citizens, which we identified by preparing a list of recommendations.
